When You Pull In, Take Your Time
People roll in, everyone’s excited, and next thing you know your travel trailer, fifth wheel, or toy hauler is half unhooked but not quite lined up right. Keep your RV hooked on your tow vehicle until you’re 100% sure it’s set.
Try this:
- Pull into the site and pause for a second
- Make sure your door opens on the “right” side (not facing the neighbor’s picnic table)
- Check where your hookups land before committing
If it doesn’t feel right, move the RV first. It’s way easier than fixing it later.
Leveling Your RV Can Be Tricky
If the RV feels “off” inside, 9 times out of 10 it’s not the campsite… it’s the leveling.
Here’s how we tell customers to do it:
- Side-to-side first
- Then front-to-back
- Re-check it once you think you’re done (don’t skip this step)

- Electric first (nice to have power while you work)
- Water next (use a pressure regulator if you have one)
- Sewer last, and only when you need it

- Slides come out
- Awning goes out slowly (watch for wind or branches)
