A bit about how we got started and who we are...

On April 1, 1976 Ray and Brenda Andro and their three children, Chris, Michelle, and Jason founded Hemlock Hill Camp Resort in Litchfield Connecticut.

The Andro's sold the resort several years ago. The campground is still open and is presently being operated by a cooperative association. Hemlock Hill R.V. Sales was a natural outgrowth of the camp resort. The company first started with five Nomad travel trailers in May of 1985, selling and servicing from the camp property.

The dealership grew rapidly. By 1989 with no room left at the camp for the growing inventory, the company moved to a new facility on the Litchfield and Torrington town line at exit 42 just off Route 8. The business expanded to a second location on Route 7 in New Milford in September of 1994. We have since sold the New Milford location. In 1999 we opened our location in Berlin on the Berlin Turnpike, occupying the former Rent 'N Roam Campers Marketplace building. In less than two years, we have outgrown the Berlin location and moved to a much larger facility in Southington.

The facility is just off Exit 28 on Interstate 84 and was formerly occupied by Belle Camperland. We have since consolidated all locations to this 17 acre facility. Although we have grown over the years, we are still family owned and operated. To date there are four Andro's working in the family business along with many dedicated employees.

What Our Customers Say

B. Knott from South Dakota

Hi Missy,

I wanted to let you know that we have been down to Florida, up to Ohio and are now in Fort Collins, CO. The upgrades have made a lot of difference on the road. Next year we go to Alaska and we will be able to do it without white knuckles.

Not all repair shops are the same. When we had the axles swapped out in Savannah the guy directed me into a service bay. I was watching the mirrors, creeping forward when I heard the crunch. We had told him our height was 13'4" and his bay was 12'4". It ended up destroying one A/C unit and damaging the other. We got the axles swapped out okay but the whole thing cost us $1400.00. We sure do appreciate Hemlock Hills, you guys are great.

Happy trails, tails and tales,

Missy, Jay in sales and the girl in parts ( she owns a pug ) are three
outstanding employees who perform their jobs in a most friendly but
professional manner. Our new camper had its challenges in the beginning with
an assortment of issues. If it not had been for each of them doing
respective jobs this could have been a completely different comment. My
special thanks to Missy in service who went above and beyond to help us.
Hemlock Hills is extremely fortunate to have such a caring and professional
employee. She returned every call and responded to every email. Thanks to
All
